Amid the surprise wins by Donald Trump in the former Blue Wall states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, is that the president came very close to winning Minnesota too.
If Trump had prevailed, failing Illinois would have been the only Midwestern state to throw its support behind Hillary Clinton. But that's another story for another time.
Meanwhile, CNN left its leftist cocoon to discuss the strong support Trump enjoys in Minnesota, which has not backed a Republican for president since 1972.
