On this day in 1918: A very bad day for the Central Powers in World War I

The Allied Powers seemed unstoppable on this day in 1918. In fact they were. On this day 100 years ago Bulgaria signed the Armistice of Salonica, exiting the fight. On the Western Front, the Hindenburg Line of Germany was broken by British, Australian, and American forces. in the Battle of St Quentin Canal.

Victory for the Allies was within reach.

An excellent book which includes this battle "Hundred Days" by Nick Lloyd.
