Only Bloody Chicago's Victor Maggio is reporting what the impetus behind the increase in violence in Chicago--the splintering of street gangs from 60 or so to over 600.
To fix the problem, Maggio wonders "Are cops going to do what they need to do?"
Maggio was in the 'hoods during the most violent weekend this year covering what he says were "the most violent eight hours in all of my five years on the bloody streets of Chicago."
This Bloody Chicago video is very intense. It includes coverage of a wounded woman who vehemently tells the police what she wasn't shot. She finally acquiesces to treatment.
