In 2008 the Democratic presidential ticket consisted of Barack Obama and Joe Biden. On the GOP side it was John McCain and Sarah Palin.
At the first of several memorial services for the late Arizona senator, Joe Biden addressed mourners.
Palin was not invited to this or any of the McCain memorial events.
Was Palin's absence something that was directed by McCain? Or was it his family?
Either was the decision is shameful.
President Trump probably doesn't feel so bad now that he wasn't invited to the services or the funeral either.

The McCain family probably don't want to remind people of how much enthusiasm Palin brought to the campaign as the Veep nominee. Nothing must distract from the Legend of McCain that they are trying to create.

Great observation. I hadn't thought about it that way.
