My good friend and fellow patriot Victor J. Maggio released the first installment of his series, the Top Ten Most Violent Neighborhoods in Chicago.
Number Ten is a bit of a surprise to me as I though Back of the Yards, as the murders, often committed with high-power weapons, are particularly brutal in this South Side neighborhood, which is coincidentally where leftist agitator Saul Alinksy got his start.
Maggio has some great work here as delves into the history of BOTY while reporting on its unhappy present.
Two springs ago I visited Back of the Yards.
