After Doug Jones was declared the winner in Tuesday's special election, President Trump issued a laudatory Tweet to the Democrat:
Shortly afterwards CNN's Anderson Cooper replied to the president with this since-deleted Tweet. "Oh Really? You endorsed him you tool! Pathetic loser."Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard fought victory. The write-in votes played a very big factor, but a win is a win. The people of Alabama are great, and the Republicans will have another shot at this seat in a very short period of time. It never ends!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 13, 2017
Which led Cooper to reply this morning on Twitter.
Really? When a close up picture of then-US Rep. Anthony Weiner in his underwear was sent on his Twitter account, he initially used the same hacking defense.just woke up to find out someone gained access to my twitter account. i have not sent a tweet in days or replied to any tweets. We are looking into how this happened.— Anderson Cooper (@andersoncooper) December 13, 2017
Meanwhile the sleuths at CNN are on the case.
My guess is that this internal investigation will be as successful as OJ Simpson's hunt for "the real killers."This morning someone gained access to the handle @andersoncooper and replied to POTUS. We're working with Twitter to secure the account.— CNN Communications (@CNNPR) December 13, 2017
