Leftist shill Miller embarrases himself by naming the "many fathers" of Illinois' pension fiasco, no mention of Madigan

There's a guy in Springfield, which is Illinois' state capital, named Rich Miller who runs a blog called Capitol Fax and he loves to pass himself off as an expert on Illinois politics. He also writes a weekly column, in the guise of a journalist, on issues in the Prairie State. His latest article there, "Illinois' pension failure has many fathers," had promise, so when I clicked on the Google News link to see what he had to say, I was stupefied. Miller's many fathers total four: former governors Jim Edgar, George Ryan, Rod Blagojevich, and Pat Quinn.

There is no mention by Miller of the man who was state House speaker for 32 of the last 34 years, Michael Madigan (D-Chicago).

Nothing, and I mean nothing--Miller knows this too--makes it onto the floor of the Illinois House of Representative without Boss Madigan's approval.

And Madigan is the midwife of Illinois' pension debacle. He was speaker while every one of those governors were in office.

Yet Miller palms himself off as a journalist. And Crain's Chicago Business falls for this ruse.

With experts like Miller refereeing this state, it's understandable why Illinois is a national punch line. Miller, a liberal shill, in that column refers to critics of that first father, Jim Edgar, as "far right." Perhaps that's true. We're so right, as in correct, that we are far right.

And Miller and the Democrats are far-wrong.

Madigan certainly approved virtually all of the pensin language that has been passed.
