Relative of murdered Chiraq man: "Facebook killed him"

Abandoned home in Austin
Forget gun bans in Chicago--what about a Facebook ban in the city?

From the Chicago Tribune:
A relative of a man who died after being shot along with five others Friday afternoon in the Austin neighborhood said social media led to his cousin's death.

"Facebook killed him, that's what did it," a man who said he was a cousin of the victim said as he looked over the shooting scene from behind yellow police tape. "They boxing over Facebook. It's so stupid."

The shooting happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. in the 5600 block of West Corcoran Place, just south of the CTA Green Line Central Avenue stop, according to police. Police estimated the person killed, who was taken Loyola University medical center and was pronounced dead, was age 17 to 19, but the relative said he was 23. Four other men and a teenage boy were wounded and all were in good condition at West Suburban Medical Center.
"They boxing over Facebook?" The deceased man's cousin appears to be a product of Chicago Public Schools.

According to the Tribune the victim was arguing with someone on Facebook and the social network may have tipped off his location to his killers.

This story will not be trending on Facebook, I can assure you.
