Six shot at Chiraq memorial for shooting victim, 8 others wounded in other Wednesday violence

The night after President Trump vowed to "send in the Feds" to stop Chicago carnage, there were 14 shootings yesterday, including six people who shot at a memorial for a victim of Chiraq violence.

From the Chicago Sun-Times:
A mass shooting at a memorial in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side left six people — including a 12-year-old girl — wounded Wednesday night, officials said.

Also among the victims: the mother of the person being memorialized.

About 8:15 p.m., officers responding to a calls of shots fired found the victims inside a restaurant in the 500 block of East 75th Street, according to Chicago Police.

A bullet grazed the girl's head, and she was taken in good condition to Comer Children's Hospital, according to police and fire officials.
There were eight other Chiraq shootings yesterday, amazingly, only one on the West Side, which has seen the worst violence so far this year.
