Chiraq: 9 dead and at least 33 wounded over weekend

It was another bloody weekend in Chicago, nine people were murdered and at least 33 others were wound.

The most pathetic killing occurred in Brainerd on the South Side.An 18-year-old woman was fatally shot--two others were wounded--while attending a vigil for a 23-year-old man from the same neighborhood who was murdered the night before.

As usual, most of the shootings occurred on the South and West Sides. One of the murders was of a man found with his throat slit in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.
