Chiraq: 7 dead and at least 42 wounded in weekend shootings

Although the numbers seem small--they are not--compared to the Orlando terror deaths on Sunday, the killings of course continued over the weekend in Chicago despite the tragic news from Florida.

One of the wounded is a five-year-old Southwest Side girl--she is expected to survive.

All of the fatal shootings occurred on the South Side--two of them were in Englewood.

As far as I can gather no one has been charged in these shootings, which is not unusual. If people had been, the national media would not have repeatedly told us that they are US citizens--if they were--unlike in the case of evil Orlando terrorist Omar Mateen.
