Our dithering Prince Hamlet of a president, Barack Obama, finally made up his mind--after seven years in office--about the Keystone XL Pipeline. Obama told our friends in Canada "No," he doesn't want them to ship cheap and much-needed petroleum to our nation. Which means we will continue to be dependent on hostile nations such as Venezuela and Saudi Arabia for much of our oil needs.
Obama cited his religion, climate change, as the reason for denying the construction of the pipeline. Businesses and union bosses favor Keystone.
In a little over a year Obama won't be president. Then Donald Trump or Ted Cruz can open the spigot from Canada.
