45 murders: Deadliest month in Baltimore since 1972

You have to go back to 1972--when Richard Nixon was president and The Godfather was a box office champ--to find a month in Baltimore that was as deadly as July 2015 was. Forty-five people were murdered in the city that was hit by riots three months ago. The feckless response to those riots--and the indictment of six Baltimore police officers in a which hunt to foist blame on them for the death of Freddie Gray--brought anarchy to Maryland's largest city that has dragged into the summer.

There is a news story out there that during the riots hackers disabled the computer system at City Hall for many hours. So the anarchy is not just random, but organized.
