Seen last Saturday in Morton Grove: Vintage Milwaukee Road Pullman cars

As someone who carries a camera almost everywhere I go, it allows me to capture surprises. Such as these restored Pullman passenger rail cars from the old Milwaukee Road railroad I saw speed through Morton Grove last Saturday.

They were part of an Amtrak run, the Varsity, on the return trip from Madison, Wisconsin to Champaign, Illinois. The passengers, likely fans of Fighting Illini football, were undoubtedly an unhappy lot, as the University of Illinois had just suffered another embarrassing defeat.
