It was five years ago today that President Obama's stimulus boondoggle became law. The $862 billion leviathan was supposed to prevent unemployment from topping 8 percent--but it remained about that level for almost Obama's entire first term. The jobless rate mysteriously dropped below 8 percent just before the 2012 election.
The stimulus, which was not brought up once during the last Democratic National Convention, brought the first nonsensical phrase from the Obama administration: "saved job." But there is no way to measure what a "saved job" is.
