ILSen: Biggert to raise money for Truax

Judy Biggert was gerrymandered out of her US House seat by rapacious Democratic remappers two years ago. But she's putting her time to good use, as the Daily Herald tells us.
U.S. Senate hopeful Doug Truax, a Downers Grove Republican, will get some fundraising help from former U.S. Rep. Judy Biggert, a Hinsdale Republican who lost in 2012.

Biggert will host the event at her home Jan. 22.

Truax is running in a one-on-one primary race against state Sen. Jim Oberweis of Sugar Grove for the seat now held by Democratic U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin.
Oberweis is a perennial candidate who ran twice in the GOP primary for a US Senate seat--losing both times.
