The bad news continues to mount for Illinois. United Van Lines just released its annual migration and out-migration figures. A state wants to be in the first category--that means the economic climate is favorable--folks want to move there to make a decent living. Oregon leads that one, followed by the Carolinas.
As for the latter group, it's led by New Jersey, followed by functionally bankrupt Illinois.
Springfield--we have a problem.
This is not a blip. Illinois was in second place in United Van Lines' out-migration category last year too.
