Memorial Day weekend 2013: Remember those who served

During this weekend's parties, picnics, and parades, please remember the men and women who defended our great nation who are no longer with us.

US Naval Reserve Lieutenant Commander John R. Gabel of the District of Columbia was a World War II veteran. He died in 1973 and he's buried in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Skokie, Illinois.
