Wisconsin: Walker reform bill ruled constitutional in Appellate Court

Some rare good news from Chicago. The US Appeals Court there ruled that Governor Scott Walker's reform bill--which pushes back at the power of public-sector unions---is constitutional. The 2-1 vote overrules a Madison, Wisconsin district court ruling that sided with the unions.

Walker's reform bill prevents public-sector unions from utilizing collective bargaining on anything other than wages.

Meanwhile in Illinois, where the public-sector unions dominate, the state is financially dead-in-the-water. California, another government-union stronghold, is in the same sinking boat.

Any questions?

Parts of the Walker legislation remains on hold because it is tied up in a separate case, but today's ruling is clearly yet another defeat for Big Labor.
