Congress & Obama's message to parents: Have your kids do everything at the last minute

I've failed as a parent. After years of telling my daughter to work ahead, prepare for contingencies, and most importantly--not wait to complete important tasks at the last minute, I know better now. Our esteemed members of Congress and our president had more than a year to prepare for the fiscal cliff deadline.

Not only didn't they fulfill their duties on time--they are working past their due date to finish their assignment.

But Obama and Congress have shown me the light.

Now I follow.

And my daughter no longer has to eat her peas.
