Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter made the ridiculous and
audacious charge that Mitt Romney is a
"felon" because of
a Boston Globe report claiming that Mitt Romney did not end his successful career at Bain Capital in 1999.
The Washington Post, which is hardly a pro-Mitt publication, gave
the Globe story a
"Three Pinocchios" ranking in its Fact Checker column today.
Democrat Ed Rendell, the former governor of Pennsylvania and the former mayor of Philadelphia, said that Obama's supporters went "a little too far" with the 'felony' attack.
Well, I think they went a lot too far.
