Occupy New Haven has cost city $145,000

Even in a high-salary state such as Connecticut, $145,000 probably can pay the salary of a couple of teachers. That figure, the New Haven Register is reporting, is what the Connecticut city has spent on clean-up, police overtime, and legal fees in regards to Occupy New Haven's since removed encampment.

New Haven also paid for the occupiers' public bathrooms.

Two months ago the tab was just $100,000.

If the Occupy movement wants more money for public services--I suggest they end their protests. Or at least, apply for permits and behave themselves--as the Tea Party does.
