Big Labor put its big money behind Kathleen Falk in today's Democratic Primary to determine the opponent against Governor Scott Walker in next month's recall election in Wisconsin. But Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett won anyway.
Is it the messenger that turned Democrats off?
While the polls claim Barrett and the Republican reformer are even, I have a hunch that some wind has been taken out of the Democrats--and Big Labor's--momentum. Voters now face a rematch of the 2010 gubernatorial race on June 5.
Walker's campaign strategy will undoubtedly include pointing his finger at his dysfunctional, union-run neighbor, financially dead-in-the-water Illinois.
