Speaking three years and a day after President Obama's failed stimulus was enacted, Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers gives today's Weekly GOP Address.
"The president's team said the unemployment rate would stay below eight percent if taxpayers gave his party a blank check to spend on government programs," McMorris Rodgers says, "but that promise didn’t pan out either. In fact, unemployment has been above eight percent for three years running. Gas prices have nearly doubled since the president took office. And the new health care law is making it harder for small businesses to hire new workers and provide insurance for their employees."

I stopped listening to Cathy McMorris Rodgers when I found out she's sponsoring a bill (H.R. 1971) that is little more than a special interest handout that could lead to more waste, fraud and abuse.
Take a look at what Americans for Tax Reform says about her bill: http://costofgovernment.org/atr-cogc-oppose-h-r-a137
More Medicare fraud? No, thanks.
What a joke. If Rep. McMorris Rodgers really cared about health care costs she'd drop her support for HR 1971 -- a drugstore lobby bill that Americans for Tax Reform says could incentivize Medicare fraud.
