Arrest me! Arrest me! |
The man on the left is wearing a green arm band. I photographed him during their march to to that park on October 22. That arm band means he wanted to be arrested. Those wearing red arm bands that night were communicating to the police that they did not want to be busted. Yellow-donned arms meant that the demonstrators weren't sure.
How can someone not be sure about being arrested? These occupiers--they're different from us.
This is Occupy Chicago's modus operandi: They utilize these volunteer arrests to not only attract attention, but to communicate "oppression" because Mayor Rahm Emanuel has taken the sensible view that overnight camping is not free speech.
If these manipulators succeed in getting these charges dropped, it will allow Occupy Chicago to claim victory over Emanuel--and of course over "the police state." Or as their chant goes, "The people united will never be defeated."
It's that simple--and the local mainstream media, with the exception of Roe Conn on WLS-AM, plays along with the stunt. It reminds me of watching a snake charmer at work.
I have more occtrocities today. Including a "draconian" eviction order, an Occupy protest against President Obama, and a time machine.

Good Job, Rubes!
They signify. What will happen when Rahm demands they leave their signs at home?
