I live in a town, Morton Grove, Illinois, that until four years ago banned handguns. If everyone who supported gun-rights registered to vote--and of course then voted, such laws probably wouldn't exist anywhere in this great nation.
Onetime Marine gunnery sergeant R. Lee Ermey, best known for his legendary role in Full Metal Jacket, appears in this humorous National Rifle Association web ad about the importance of gun owners registering to vote.
If you are already registered to vote and have adult children who support your views--get them to register too. It's not a coincidence that there are a lot of young actors in this spot.
