Roskam statemement on one year anniversary of Tucson shooting

A sad anniversary arrived today.

BLOOMINGDALE, IL – Congressman Peter Roskam (IL-06) issued the following statement today marking the one year anniversary of the shooting in Tucson, Arizona that killed six and wounded over a dozen, including Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

A year ago today, Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, her staff, and the people of Tucson, endured a horrifying attack. While the victims, families, and the entire community are still healing from this senseless act of violence, they serve as a symbol of great strength to us all. From the brave actions of the Congresswoman’s staff and first responders that day to the remarkable recovery of Gabby herself, their perseverance will continue to bring us hope from this unthinkable tragedy.
