News from January 3: Santorum wins Iowa

Okay, while the title is a bit snarky, it's true, the actual winner of the Iowa Caucuses is Rick Santorum. A revised count has the former Pennsylvania senator topping Mitt Romney by 34 votes.

Over 100,000 votes were cast in the caucuses two weeks ago.

Unfortunately, it's hard to see Santorum getting much of a bounce out of this news. Perceptions are extremely important in the early caucus and primary states, and most people will still think Romney won Iowa.
