During the 2008 campaign, the Obama election juggernaut liked to claim, incorrectly it turns out, that the bulk of its warchest came from small-time donors.
But perhaps the idea, in the business world, is a good one. Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC) thinks so, which is why he's sponsoring the The Entrepreneur Access to Capital Act (H.R. 2930), so "crowdfunding" can be done with less government interference.
