Gingrich, Perry statements on Tuesday's House GOP wins

Gingrich with Marathon Pundit
Two presidential candidates issued statements about the Republican victories in New York and Nevada.

From Newt Gingrich:

The Republican victories in New York and Nevada are a healthy repudiation of the failures of the Obama policies.

They are also an immediate and dramatic rejection of President Obama's joint session address and his new big-government, big-spending bill.

The loss of Senator Schumer's former House seat, a completely safe Democratic seat before the failures of the Obama administration, should embolden Democrats and Republicans alike to ignore the new Obama legislative proposal and focus on effective solutions to put Americans back to work.
And now from Rick Perry:

I congratulate New York's Bob Turner and Nevada's Mark Amodei in their decisive victories yesterday evening, which clearly signal America's growing frustration with President Obama's failure to create jobs, cut the debt and deliver the hope he promised. America needs jobs, and voters know that this President doesn't have a clue how to get America working. As President, I will follow the principles of lower taxes, less spending and less government red tape that have helped make Texas the nation's top economy.
