Wisconsin GOP maintains control of state Senate

Minocqua, Wisconsin
Democrats and their Big Labor allies failed in their attempt to flip control of the Wisconsin state Senate in their extended effort to undo Governor Scott Walker's budget-repair bill--which axed collective bargaining rights for most state employees. Their were six recall elections yesterday targeting Republican state senators, the GOP prevailed in four of them and the upper chamber will remain in Republican control. But had the Democrats won one more race, they'd be the majority party in the upper chamber.

Liberals gathered in Madison last night to celebrate the Democratic win that never happened.

Next week there are two recall elections for Democratic state senators, you know, the fleebaggers who hid Illinois earlier this year rather than perform their jobs.

Most of yesterday's races were close. The Taa Party Express may have made the difference for the Republicans.

But for the Democrats, the Holy Grail is to recall Scott Walker.

Warner Todd Huston says Unions lose BIG in Wisconsin recall efforts.
