Oversight Committee releases video honoring fallen border agent Brian Terry

Last December US Border Agent and Marine veteran Brian Terry was shot to death while attempting to apprehend members of a Mexican drug gang in southern Arizona. Weapons captured on the scene have been traced to the Justice Department's disastrous "Operation Fast and Furious," which put those guns in the hands of criminals. The scheme was also known as Operation Gunrunner.

Last week introduced House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) introduced the Brian A. Terry Memorial Act of 2011 to rename the Bisbee, Arizona Border Patrol station in honor of the Michigan native.

The Bisbee station is located in the district of Gabrielle Giffords. "In the past half-century, 70 U.S. Border Patrol agents – including Agent Terry – have been killed while protecting our nation," said Pia Carusone, chief of staff for Rep. Giffords (D-AZ), whose office worked with Issa on the legislation. "Congresswoman Giffords has led the fight for increased border security so Agent Terry and others will not have died in vain."

Last week the Oversight Committee released a video honoring Terry.
