House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) took time out of his busy schedule keeping an eye on the Obama administration's overreach to comment on the passage of the Budget Control Act, better known as the Boehner Bill.
In just 30 months in office, the president's out-of-control spending has increased the national debt by 35 percent--to $14.3 trillion.
"The debt crisis is a result of years of overspending," Issa says. "If we're going to end the crisis we need to both raise the debt limit and stop spending in Washington. We don't have a taxing problem in America but a spending problem."
