Ever since the US Supreme Court ruled in favor of free speech in Citizens United v. FEC last winter, President Obama has been obsessed with it, going as far as taking the unprecedented step of criticizing the decision in the State of the Union address, while Justice Samuel Alito shook his head while saying, "Not true."
Last summer the House of Representatives, then controlled by the Democrats, passed the likely-unconstitutional DISCLOSE Act with the goal of essentially overturning the Supreme Court decision. It died in the Senate.
Today a US Chamber of Commerce blog points to the unconstitutionality of a long-rumored proposed Obama executive order that will force recipients of federal contracts to reveal their political contributions.
Note to libs: You lost, move along.
