Along with author Doris Kearns Goodwin, former Nebraska Senator Chuck Hegel, Newark Mayor Cory A. Booker, and NBC's Andrea Mitchell, US Rep. Adam Kinzinger, a Tea Party Republican from Manteno, Illinois, appeared on Meet the Press this morning.
In response to whether the status quo in Washington is acceptable, Kinzinger told host David Gregory, "No, it's not how it should operate. I mean, I think Washington, there's no doubt that it's broken, there's no doubt that there's, you know, it's become personal, it's become vitriolic and acidic. People need to work together. We need to have these discussions…."
