AWOL on debt crisis: Obama and Biden

Joe Biden is coming to town!

Two days ago President Obama scolded Republicans for their perceived inaction in regards to the debt talks. But his party has not written a federal budget in over two years. And while the Senate will forgo its July 4th recess, the president will enjoy a mini-vacation at Camp David.

Vice President Biden is leaving Washington too this weekend. First he heads to Las Vegas to speak at the Teamsters convention there, then he travels to Chicago to address the National Education Association annual meeting--they may decide formally endorse the Obama/Biden ticket for 2012. It's a safe bet that they will.

Meanwhile, the nation's debt crisis remains unresolved.
