Although they are a bit reserved, North Dakotans are among the warmest people you'll meet. For instance, while filling up for gas in the western part of the state in 2004, another customer, intrigued by the Chicago accent I revert to when I'm fatigued, bought me a cup of coffee while I was settling my bill. That hasn't happened to me before then or since.
Blogger Rob Port of Say Anything lives in Minot, which has been devestated by flooding from the Souris River. He's okay, but many of his friends are not. Click here for Port's slide show and also to donate to the Minot chapter of the Red Cross.
Perform a good deed for some good people.
