Lump of Kohl for Wisconsin Democrats in 2012

The bad new for Wisconsin Democrats continues to roll in. Last year the lost control of the governor's mansion, both chambers of the state legislature, a US Senate seat, and two House seats.

This morning US Sen. Herb Kohl announced that he won't run for reelection next year. Because he self-financed his campaigns, the Republican Party shied away from running a serious effort against him.

Now the Dems won't have Kohl to lead the statewide ticket. And they won't have his wallet, either.
