Durbin: Spending cuts have been pushed "to the limit"

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), who nominally represents me in the Senate, said something on Fox News Sunday yesterday that normally would have jumped out at me, but I guess I was still in shock from Chris Wallace's interview of Margie Phelps, the attorney for the Westboro Baptist Church.

Durbin told Wallace that discretionary budget cuts have been pushed "to the limit." Frankly, I don't believe him. Besides, who paid for that Obama advertisement which can be found down the street from my home in Morton Grove?
