The unhappy birthday party continues. Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) issues his ObamaCare statement.

Congressman Walsh Issues Statement on One Year Anniversary of ObamaCare
Americans are discovering the truth about ObamaCare and their opposition to it is growing”
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Joe Walsh (R-IL) issued the following statement on the one year anniversary of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, better known as ObamaCare.

“Today marks the one year anniversary of President’s Obama’s job-killing health care bill, ObamaCare,” said Congressman Walsh. “This unconstitutional, hyper-partisan takeover of the United States health care system was shoved down the throats of the American people, by Nancy Pelosi and her fellow Democrats without a single Republican vote, as they claimed we had to ‘pass the bill to find out what was in the bill.’”

“Now, just one year after ramming it through Congress, Americans are discovering the truth
about ObamaCare and their opposition is growing.
In a recent Rasmussen Reports poll of likely voters, 62 percent favored repealing the entire law. This is the highest total recorded in favor of repeal in the last ten months – ObamaCare is even more unpopular today than it was a year ago when President Obama signed it into law.”

“In January, my first vote as a U.S. Congressman was to repeal ObamaCare – it taxed too much, spent too much, and borrowed too much. Now, two months later, I am more committed than ever to repeal this unconstitutional law.
I will do everything in my power to replace it with a plan that truly increases access to quality, affordable health care.

“We simply cannot allow a law to remain in place that has already created a legacy of fewer jobs, higher taxes and a lower quality of care – knowing that the worst is yet to come.

Since the passage of ObamaCare:
Democrats’ cost projections were proved incorrect, as CBO just upped ObamaCare’s final price tag by 8.6 percent to $1.44 trillion
The individual mandate was ruled unconstitutional in two federal courts
Over 1,000 organizations have received coverage waivers from the Obama Administration
34 states no longer offer child-only policies
-  CMS now shows that 14 million Americans will lose their current coverage if ObamaCare is not repealed
And there will be 800,000 fewer jobs by 2021 according to the Director of the CBO

Congressman Walsh is a member of the Health Subcommittee on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. He recently joined Rep. Issa (R-CA) as a sponsor to the
Constitutional Protection Act – legislation that will halt the implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act until a final verdict is issued on the multi-state lawsuit over the constitutionality of the law.
