Hillary calls West Bank settlements "illegitimate," Palestinians still protest

The Obama White House is the first anti-Israel administration. By calling West Bank settlements "illegitimate," Secretary of State Hillary Clinton hoped to gain points with the Palestinians. It didn't work. The United States vetoed a UN resolution on settlements-which led 3,000 Palestinians to protest in Ramallah. They shouted, "Obama, you despicable man, we want self-determination."

Here's a tip for Clinton and Obama: When in doubt, stick with your ally. In this case, Israel.

But now the Israelis are unhappy and the Palestinians are unhappy.

Folks, don't make the game harder to play than it needs to be.
