From English Russia: Kamchatka Peninsula

The southern half of Siberia's Kamchatka Peninsula is an exotic tourism destination. But English Russia explores its more remote northern half with a wondrous photo essay, zooming in on the Beringia Dog Sled Race, which like the more famous Iditarod, takes place each March.

Among the ethnic groups found on the peninsula are Chukchas. In Mrs. Marathon Pundit's native Latvia and the rest of the former Soviet Union, Chukcha jokes are legendary.

Here's one, courtesy of Wikipedia:

A Chukcha comes into a shop and asks: "Do you have color TVs?"  "Yes, we do." "Give me a green one."

The plural of Chukcha is usually presented as "Chukchi," but do you think I'm going to disagree with Mrs. MP?

If you are interested in continuing in a Siberian mode, Backyard Conservative has a chilly photo of a dog peeking out of a snowy porthole.
