Our nation's capital does not have a Walmart. But the world's largest retailer is looking to expand into Washington DC, bringing low-cost products, and yes, jobs, to the District. Washington's unemployment rate in 10.2 percent.
But the group (Warning--annoying rap music with dishonest lyrics on site) Walmart Free DC is planning its second protest at the home of the developer behind the proposed store on Thursday. The first one occurred last month.
This tactic is right out of the Saul Alinsky playbook.
If this audacity seems familiar, it should. Last spring over 500 fuming SEIU protesters showed up at the home of a Bank of America executive. He wasn't home, but his son, who feared for his safety, locked himself in the bathroom.
Post-Tucson, aren't we supposed to be in the "Civility Era?"
Oh, the old Walmart logo, the smiley face, is a cross-hairs target on the Walmart Free DC site.
Wasn't Sarah Palin criticized for using similar graphic?
Let me remind you, these jackals will be protesting in front of someone's private residence.
