Obama's ideological and harmful energy policy

As I've noted before, President Obama is at war with fossil fuels. On Wednesday--with Election Day in our rear view mirror--his Interior Department announced a flip flop: there will be no expansion of offshore drilling. Think about that the next time gasoline prices top off at $4.00 a gallon. And then go higher.

Writing for the Heritage Foundation, Jonah Goldberg sums up the mindset of the Obama administration:

The real problem with the White House's attitude toward oil, and energy generally, is how deeply ideological it is. Few presidents have talked a bigger game about pragmatism while pursuing a dogmatic agenda.
Louisiana State University economics professor Joseph Mason says the Obama oil drilling moratorium will hurt our economy:
Uncertainty is a major hindrance for economic growth. Yet, uncertainty has been the hallmark of the administration's energy policy over the past seven months. Today's default on its promise of expanded offshore access marks only the latest move by administration officials to saddle our still unstable economy with more uncertainty.
The national unemployment rate is now 9.8 percent.
