English Russia has another engrossing photographic essay, this time it travels to an abandoned gulag in Nryob, which is in the Urals.
One sign at the gulag sums up the Soviet Union attitude had regarding its prisoners:
"Admitting one's guilt is not enough."
On a personal note, my late father-in-law spent time--for theft--at a prison in the Urals.
