McConnell on Face the Nation

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) appeared on CBS' Face The Nation Sunday morning

He talked about the possible rescinding of the Bush tax cuts:

Let me make sure everybody understands what were talking about here: These aren't tax cuts, these are tax increases—tax increases in the middle of a recession.

We don't think raising taxes on small business is a good idea. You can't do what he's suggesting you might do without having a small business tax increase.”

“We can't negotiate it this morning but our view is don't raise taxes on small business. We would rather not do it at any time—in fact I've introduced the only bill that would make the current tax rates permanent—but certainly you wouldn't want to do it in the middle of an income slowdown.
He concluded with insightful comments about President Obama's "sales presentation" of the Democratic agenda.
I think the president believes that somehow he didn’t – his product was good but he just didn't sell it well. I think he's a good salesman. I think his problem was not his sales job. It was the product. The American people simply did not like what the president and this Congress were doing substantively.

They're (Dems) in denial.
They cannot bring themselves to admit the truth... that their health care reform bill was so disastrous they ALMOST lost it all.
And since it is what Bozama hoped would be his legacy for history, they'll continue to be in denial about it.

But will the "R's" be any better at reading these election results?
So far, with some few exceptions, I see no indication of that.
Do you?

Some of the new GOP senators, GB, are forming what I call an "anti-earmark caucus."
