White House Chief of Staff Rahm "Dead Fish" Emanuel is leaving his job today to move back to Chicago--so he can run for mayor of America's third largest city. Don't be surprised if Chicago's business leaders line up behind the onetime congressman from the Northwest Side. Rahm's temperment is explosive, but so is current mayor Richard M. Daley's. He has a reputation for getting things done--and isn't viewed as much as a radical as President Obama. Remember, after the election of Republican Scott Brown to the US Senate, Emanuel wanted to used an step-by-step approach with ObamaCare.
Pete Rouse, who was a longtime aide to former Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle before joining Obama's team in 2005, is the new White House chief-of-staff. He's the ultimate inside-the-beltway creature.
More "change" I can't believe in.
