IL 9: New York Times looks at race

Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), perhaps the most liberal member of the House of Representatives has been able to hide behind her anti-Israel views because she is Jewish. Ah...but she attends services at Evanston's ulta-liberal Beth Emet Synagogue. Pajamas Media's Abraham J. Miller describes the congregation as "anti-Zionist Zionists."

Schakowsky, who represents Illinois' 9th District, is tight with J Street, another anti-Zionist Jewish group which is funded by another fellow traveler, George Soros. Yes, Soros is Jewish too.

But so is Joel Pollak. He is very pro-Israel. He's the Republican candidate in the the 9th and I want him to be my next congressman.

The New York Times discusses the contest between Sckakowsky and Pollak, which it calls "one of the tightest races in the Ninth District in the last 50 years."

The Times mentions Schakowsky's J Street relationship, but neglects to acknowledge J Street's Soros funding.
