Paul Ryan to endorse Joel Pollak today at luncheon

And I will be there...

From a Joel Pollak press press release:

Niles, IL — Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) will campaign and fundraise for Joel Pollak at a luncheon today from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel (120 E. Delaware Place) in downtown Chicago.

In Congress, Rep. Ryan often spars with Pollak’s opponent, Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), who sits on the deficit commission with Ryan and opposes his calls for fiscal responsibility. Schakowsky backs more government spending, higher taxes, and cuts to retirement savings tax credits.

Rep. Ryan is the ranking Republican on the House budget committee, and authored the "Road Map for America's future," a bold new plan to restore our nation's economic health.

Ryan has also come out strongly in favor of Pollak's challenge.

"The American people are looking for leaders willing to stand up and oppose the heavy-handed policies being advanced by those running Washington," said Ryan. "Joel Pollak is one of these leaders and I support his efforts to represent the Ninth District of Illinois in the 112th Congress."

Rep. Ryan's visit will also mark the culmination of the "Pollak Pledge Tour" around the district. Pollak will unveil the best ideas submitted by people in the district, and announce his "Pledge to the Ninth District," which will serve as his policy agenda for his first term in Congress.

In June, the Pollak campaign held an endorsement luncheon with lifelong liberal Democrat, Professor Alan Dershowitz, who said that he has never "seen a more promising political leader than Joel."

The luncheon is co-chaired by Judd Malkin, and will include hundreds of leaders and supporters from the 9th District and the Chicago area.
