Obama support slips in his home state

Could it be that the misguided souls of Illinois are finally waking up? Just a slim majority, 51 percent, approve of President Obama's job performance, according to a Chicago Tribune/WGN-TV poll released this evening. While 39 percent--count me in that group, disapprove.

One man, who lives in the town west of me, who has definitely awakened:

Retired electrician Joseph Salerno, of Niles, considered himself a lifelong Democrat, but no more. Salerno said he has been turned off by Obama's activism, including on health care and expensive stimulus spending. "He promised transparency," Salerno said. "And, nobody knows what they voted for."
Republican Bill Brady appears poised to end the disastrous eight year gubernatorial reign of the crooked Rod Blagojevich and his two-time running mate, the woefully inept Pat Quinn.

Morning is coming to Illinois.
